What are some really good guns in Fallout New Vegas and where could I find them?go to howitzers farmstead. head north and find a spaceship kill alien captain search him and take alien blaster and the ammo. it takes about 3-4 shots to kill a deathclaw.but the ammo is limmited unless there is some way to get some. look it up. i took over deathclaw promentory with the alien blastr

dude by far the best weapon in the game go to hellious one and complete the quest "that lucky old sun" at the end you will have a choice on where you wish to rig the power to... CHOOSE ARCHIMEDES II soon after completing the quest go to the east side of freeside where you will find a boy (max) chasing a girl (i believe sarah) buy the gun off of him either for 1000 caps or 20 depending on your barter level and then you may use this weapon once every 24 hours. ITS F**KING amazing
other good weapons
anti material rifle - purchased at gun runner
gauss rifle - silver rush in freeside
maria - once you kill benney
44 cal maginum - cant remeber where i picked it up
357 mag with mods is also working pretty good for me quite easy to find around the wasteland
ALSO if you want good weapons fast visit either vault 34 if you have hardley any caps go down to the amory just check fallout wikia on how to get there they've got some pretty sweet weapons (make sure you take either a space suit or radiation suit and rad x/away and a couple of stealth boys) OR if you have money "caps" find the brotherhood of steel get down into their bunker and look for the woman that sells you stuff down there she has some pretty cool shiz too. A list of my favorites:
Anti-material rifle w/ armor piercing rounds - slow fire rate, but just epic damage...
The matter modulator - a unique plasma rifle in REPCONN behind the locked door, the key is in a suitcase on the third floor, twice the fire rate as a normal plasma rifle
Sniper rifle / gobi campaign sniper rifle ( 100 lock pick required ) - sneak attack with better criticals is almost always a 1 shot kill.
unique guass rifle ( i forget the name...YCS something ) - found on mercenary in a mercenary camp north west of the strip
unique minigun - in a crater north east of lake mead
and if you feel like wasting ammo but also having some fun:
a unique tesla cannon, tesla beaton prototype - found in a crater guarded by at least 5 or 6 hardened sentry bots and mister gutsys south east of Nipton.
This Machine, given at the end of a quest in Camp McCarran.
Maria, gained after killing Benny.
Machete Gladius, can be found on high ranking Legion members.
Annabelle, acquired from the super mutant sniper in Utolbitha.
Vance's 9mm Submachine gun, all the way up north, there are 2 Bonnie and Clyde type characters, acquire it from them.
There are alot of great guns in the game, and in my opinion, the best ones come from Fiends or Powder Gang Members.
My favorite is the Caravan Shotgun. It uses 20 gauge bullets (i think) and I picked it up the first day from a dead Powder Ganger. Just make sure to always search the people you kill, and you'll definitely pick up some sick guns.

Half the fun is exploring and finding new items.
Even if I knew where to find the best gun in the game, I wouldn't want to just go and get it.
Each to their own, but you're missing a crucial aspect of the game if you dont explore things for yourself
Go to cheatcc and read the free caps and tricking the traders because this is expensive
Anti material rifle - one shot kill usually , have INC bullets which means once you shoot someone
you light them on fire !!!
Sniper rifle - great for sneaking and you can put a silencer on that
Gauss rifle - uses same ammo as plasma and laser rifle but 1 shot is about 5 ammo . But its
the highest damage a rifle and can give and has red dote sight that zooms and doesn't
move like the sniper or anti material rifle
Annabell - uses rockets and lots of fire and pain . But its good for people who are in groups
I shot a deathclaw many times with a annabell but no luck and reloaded last save game
put 2 hollow points of anti material rifle in his chest and he was down . Annabell is
but if your enemys run fast and are alone , dont use it
Flamer or incinerator - Amazing , burn em , can't really go wrong .
Fat man - uses mini nuke ....what else can I say .,.
ok you can find anti material rifle , sniper rifle , .22 silenced smg , and other cool stuff at gun runners which is near the vegas gate ..... north I think where mick and ralph's store is ... if cant find it go to the farm thingys that have metal gate and the entrance way the gate is torn up ,,, inside ask the woman for direction , she stands there near the gate or somewhere inside .. talk to her , ask for directions
Gauss rifle , fat man , annabell ... all can be found at brother hood ... HIDDEN VALLEY ... theres a bunker you go through there... work for em , get to like you , then when no more missions , quick travel somewhere , wait for a 2 3 days , come back and talk to the elders . and the option of you wanting to join the brotherhood will appear , join them and in the armory you can get the best and top notch weapons .
other mediocre weapons such as plasma rifle , laser rifle , plasma grenade , plasma mine and all that can be found at a store called silver rush at the vegas . There are another store at Nipton , and theres a gun called THAT GUN ... DONT buy it ... waste of caps ... I have 250 000 caps but when I had 500 I worked for an hour , got 1000 caps , got that gun and it was a waste :(
